Birth leave and parental leave - an international comparison |
On 2 August 2022, additional parental leave will be introduced in the Netherlands. Under the new rules, both fathers and mothers are entitled to a benefit for a period of 9 weeks in the first year of their child's life. In the Netherlands, the partner was already entitled to 5 weeks of additional birth leave, also with a benefit. This amendment raised the question of how this matter has actually been arranged in our neighbouring countries. |

End of COVID-19 support measures in the Netherlands |
From 1 October this year, after about one and a half years, most of the COVID-19 support measures in the Netherlands will be discontinued. This includes the NOW-arrangement (Temporary Emergency Bridging Measure for Sustained Employment), the tax deferral scheme and the TVL-arrangement (Reimbursement of Fixed Costs). However, some measures that have consequences for the payroll administration will be extended, such as tax-free travel allowance. |

Are you in doubt as to whether your staff matters have been arranged properly? |
For Interfisc it is a matter of course to pay extensive attention to both the mandatory and the additional employment conditions and insurances when starting up a payroll, but this is not always as obvious for a local payroll provider. Did you not start up your payroll through Interfisc and do you doubt if everything has been arranged properly? Ask for our Quick Scan. It will give you insight into:
- obligations
- risks
- as well as possibilities as an employer
For Dutch payrolls we offer the Quick Scan without charge if you apply for it before 15 October 2021. For payrolls in Belgium, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Italy we do not offer the Quick Scan for the time being, but we can of course always look over your shoulder to dispel your doubts. |
